Oenology Students from Stellenbosch University and Elsenburg College awarded for their persistent hard work
Lallemand Oenology – South Africa, in collaboration with the South African Society for Enology and Viticulture, sponsor the annual prizes for the best Oenology students at Stellenbosch University and also Elsenburg Agricultural Training Institute – Western Cape Department of Agriculture.
These prizes were handed to the winners at a recent SASEV meeting in Stellenbosch.
Chloe Nangle was the top student at the Viticulture and Oenology Department of the University of Stellenbosch, while Leandri Van Niekerk was top of her class at the Elsenburg Agricultural Training Institute for 2023.
Chloe is a true academic and set her sights on joining UC Davis, California later this year.
Leandri decided to join KWV for the 2024 vintage to solidify her practical hand-on winemaking experience.
