New biological tools to produce the perfect rosé wines
Join us for a webinar on Sep 30, 2021 at 10:30 AM South African Time
Worldwide consumption of rosé has increased significantly since 2002 and totaled 23,6 million hectoliters in 2019. This equates to 10,5% of total still wine consumption. This makes it indeed a very important wine category.
For this reason we would like to focus on the production of high quality rosé wines, highlighting the use of new biological tools which can be employed to achieve this goal.
PROGRAM:
• Carlos SUAREZ, Vineyard Solutions Product Manager, will be presenting LalVigne AROMA, a 100% yeast derivatives vineyard foliar spray used to boost the quality of your rosé, enabling you to produce fresher, more intense, and better-balanced rosés that will better withstand the test of time.
• Anthony SILVANO, Yeast Product Manager will explain how you can naturally protect your rosé juices from undesirable microorganisms and oxidation with our new Metschnikowia pulcherrima yeast, LEVEL2 INITIA. He will also present LALVIN ICV SUNROSE, a new selection of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast enhancing freshness and red fruit character in your rosé wine and LALVIN ICV OPALE 2.0, another Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast for the production of rosé wines with citrus and exotics notes.
• Nathalie SIECZKOWSKI, Specific Yeast Derivatives R&D Manager will talk about GLUTASTAR, a new natural specific inactivated yeast with guaranteed glutathione level dedicated to the protection of rosé wines against oxidation when used in pre-fermentation stages. She will also present PURE-LEES LONGEVITY, another specific inactivated yeast, protecting the wines against oxidation mechanisms that are responsible for the loss of fruit aromas and the appearance of heavy notes, during storage and aging.
