Dr Sibylle Krieger-Weber – R&D, Lallemand Oenology

Sibylle obtained her PhD in 1989 with her dissertation entitled “Malolactic Starter Culture Preparations for Induction of MLF in Wine.  She joined Lallemand in 1999 where she was the manager for bacteria R&D for 25 years.  As the Lallemand wine bacteria in-house expert, she provides global technical support for bacteria where and when needed.

Dr Eveline Bartowsky – R&D Manager, Lallemand Australia

Eveline has a PhD in Microbiology.  Currently she oversees all winemaking trials and R&D research projects with Universities and Research Institutes in Australia and New Zealand.  She also works with industry providing microbiological and fermentation technical support for the application of yeast and bacteria.

Prof. Maret du Toit – University of Stellenbosch

Maret obtained her PhD in 1998 and currently a Professor at the University of Stellenbosch.  She specialises in wine microbiology with a focus on lactic acid bacteria for malolactic fermentation, interaction with wine yeasts and the influence on wine aroma.
