High botrytis and acid/sour rot pressure: controlled with LalVigne BOTRYLESS™, naturally
LalVigne BOTRYLESS™ is part of Lallemand Oenology natural solutions for the vineyard.
A study (Mosetti et al, 2024) has shown that Lalvigne BOTRYLESS™ used in a preventative or curative strategy during vineyard management helps to reduce the impact of botrytis, as well as bacterial infection leading to acid/sour rot.
Composed of a specific chitosan from 100% Aspergillus niger of low molecular weight (and NOT from crustacean origin – stay informed on the origin of your product), it is based on the synergy of three fundamental characteristics:
1. antimicrobial action;
2. elicitor effect;
3. creation of a protective bio-film.
The use of LalVigne BOTRYLESS™ has reduced the incidence and severity of botrytis infection and acid/sour rot in Sauvignon blanc (Italy) and in different varieties and regions, through preventative and curative applications. It is a natural solution that does not affect the microbial terroir, does not cause phytotoxicity problems and is compatible with plant protection products. does not impact alcoholic or malolactic fermentation and can be used in organic vinegrowing.
